We’ve received yet another delivery, and once again I’m as giddy as can be.
Eric took this in an unexpected, yet completely awesome, new direction. Instead of making all of the words carved into the tree trunk, he decided to make “Blood” carved, and make “Banjos” as part of the gnarled bark.
It perfectly demonstrates the juxtaposition of metal and bluegrass, and I love it. Don’t let my excitement influence your opinion though, have a look see for yourself!
The way he is making the “O” in “Banjos” into a knot in the wood is completely awesome. Yes, that was the second time I used “completely awesome” in this post…and that is my third.
The chopped up roots are pretty sweet too. Though it gives it a certain aesthetic that I’m unsure about. Don’t get me wrong, I definitely appreciate the feel and detail, but I might be looking for something a bit more natural for B&B.
Overall though, I’m just impressed with the creativity that has been invested in this logo. How lucky we are to have Eric interested in this!
Hm, I think when this thing is finished I’m gonna make myself a tshirt…
